Russia's Defence Ministry claims its aircraft did not violate Lithuanian airspace
The Russian Defence Ministry has claimed that on 23 October, its Su-30 fighter jets conducted flights over Russia's Kaliningrad Oblast and did not violate the borders of other states.

Details: The Russian Defence Ministry said that on 23 October, Russian Su-30 fighter jets carried out "scheduled training flights over the territory of Kaliningrad Oblast".
It stated that the flights were supposedly conducted "in strict accordance with the rules for using the airspace over the territory of the Russian Federation".
The ministry added that "the aircraft did not deviate from their flight path and did not violate the borders of other states, as confirmed by the aircraft's flight data recorders."
Background: The Lithuanian Armed Forces reported that two Russian aircraft from Kaliningrad Oblast had entered Lithuania's airspace on Thursday 23 October.
