French Army ready to send troops to Ukraine in 2026 if necessary

Pierre Schill, Chief of Staff of the French Army, stated on 24 October that the country is ready to "deploy forces as part of security guarantees" for Ukraine in 2026.

Details: Schill spoke during hearings before members of the Defence Committee of the French National Assembly, the lower house of parliament.
"We will be ready to deploy forces as part of security guarantees, if necessary for Ukraine," he said.
He also added that French forces are ready to respond simultaneously to several challenges, including a potential deployment in Ukraine.
