Kremlin "generally ready" for Trump-Putin meeting, but specific date undecided

Yuri Ushakov, an aide to Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin, has stated that Russia maintains "general readiness" to hold a summit between Putin and US President Donald Trump, which has been postponed indefinitely.

Details: Ushakov said there are "no benchmarks" regarding the timing of the Trump-Putin meeting.

"But general readiness to hold the meeting, if it is thoroughly prepared by experts in advance, remains," he added.

Ushakov also pointed out that the Alaska summit in August 2025 was organised fairly quickly.
