Ukrainian air defence downs over 60 Russian drones, strikes recorded at 7 locations

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 80 loitering munitions of the Shahed, Gerbera and other types on the night of 4-5 November. About 50 of the drones were Shaheds.

Details: Early reports indicate that as of 09:00, Ukrainian air defence forces had shot down or jammed 61 Russian drones of the Shahed, Gerbera and other types over Ukraine's north, south and east.

Strikes by 18 drones were recorded at seven locations, and debris from downed drones fell in two areas.

The aerial attack is being repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces.

The attack is still ongoing, as several Russian drones remain in Ukrainian airspace.
