Details: Ukrainian defence forces struck the Volgograd Oil Refinery in Russia's Volgograd Oblast on the night of 4-5 November. The refinery's annual processing volume is reported to be 15.7 million tonnes, or around 5.6% of Russia's total refining capacity. Explosions and a fire were recorded at the site.
The Special Operations Forces reported that drones operated by their troops had last attacked the Volgograd Oil Refinery on 18 September, after which the plant had suspended operations.
The General Staff also confirmed a successful strike on a Shahed drone storage, assembly and launch base in temporarily occupied Donetsk, on the grounds of what used to be Donetsk airport. Operational data indicates that multiple explosions and powerful secondary detonations were observed at the facility.
Additionally, to disrupt Russia's logistics, Ukrainian forces struck three fuel and lubricant facilities in temporarily occupied Crimea. At an oil depot in Hvardiiske, a storage tank and several fuel tankers at the loading terminal were successfully hit. In Simferopol, two fuel depots sustained direct hits to their tank farms, causing fires in the fuel tanks.
