Ukrainian forces need cheap drones with range of 50-100 km to hit Russian frontline targets
The Ukrainian defence forces need cheap strike UAVs with a range of 50-100 km that could replace expensive HIMARS rockets.

Quote: "The Russians are expanding the strike range of small UAVs, and we must do the same. Plus, all the most interesting frontline targets that the enemy has pulled back from the front lie within this interval."
Details: According to Beskrestnov, such UAVs require different radio-communication and navigation systems, as well as a larger airframe, since the battery weight will have to be greater.
The specialist also noted that any deep-strike UAV could be used to destroy such targets, but that would not be the best decision.
Deep-strike drones are UAVs capable of flying hundreds to thousands of kilometres, such as the FP-1, which can fly up to 1,600 km.
Similar solutions for shorter ranges fall into the middle-strike class. For example, the FP-2, presented in September by the company Fire Point, can fly up to 200 km and carries a 105 kg warhead.
