France calls Russian strikes on Kyiv "a further escalation"
The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned the large-scale Russian attack on Ukraine which injured more than 30 people in Kyiv on the night of 13-14 November.

Details: The ministry said the Russian strikes primarily targeted Kyiv, including energy facilities in the capital, residential areas and a hospital, "causing numerous fatalities and injuries, including among children".
Quote: "These strikes, which were large-scale and involved around 430 drones and 18 missiles launched in several waves, represent a further escalation and demonstrate – if any additional proof were needed – Russia's unwillingness to adhere to peace."
Details: France expressed full solidarity with Ukraine's people and authorities, as well as with the staff of the Azerbaijani embassy damaged in the attack.
The state reaffirmed its unwavering support for Ukraine's sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.
Quote: "France will continue, together with all its partners, to strengthen its support for Ukraine and its pressure on Russia with the aim of ending the war."
Background: On the night of 13-14 November, debris from a Russian Iskander missile damaged Azerbaijan's embassy in Kyiv.
