An apartment block has been destroyed in a Russian attack on the city of Ternopil on the morning of 18-19 November. Two people are reported to have been killed.

Update: At 08:16, Ternopil Oblast Military Administration confirmed reports of strikes on residential buildings.

Quote: "Ternopil. There have been hits on residential buildings. Rescue teams from the State Emergency Service and emergency medical services are working at the scene."

Update: Ternopil Mayor Serhii Nadal reported that Russian forces had used missiles and Shahed-type drones in the attack. Fatalities have been reported in the city.

Quote: "Residential buildings have been hit by Russian terrorists. People are reported to have been killed and injured… Emergency services are working at the scene. More information will be available soon."

Details: Nadal said there may be temporary disruptions to public transport in the Soniachnyi area following the Russian attack.

Quote: "While the fire is still being extinguished, I urge everyone living in the Soniachnyi district to keep their windows closed."

Background: On the morning of 19 November, Russia attacked Ukraine with drones and missiles. Explosions were heard in Khmelnytskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Lviv and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts.
