Russia attacks UN World Food Programme warehouse in Dnipro, causing major damage

A warehouse belonging to the UN World Food Programme in Dnipro was damaged in a Russian drone attack on 19 November.

Details: The strike caused a fire to break out and destroyed at least 10,000 food kits intended to support civilians in frontline areas. The Russians also caused damage to food items that were being stored in the warehouse and had not yet been packed into kits. Grains, pasta, tinned food, tea, coffee and bottled water were damaged by the fire.
Background: In the city of Lviv, a medical warehouse belonging to the US-based charity Nova Ukraine was destroyed in a Russian missile and drone attack on 19 November. The warehouse contained medicines and equipment intended to support more than 600 hospitals and clinics across Ukraine.
