Zelenskyy: Ukraine and US teams will work on points of plan to end the war
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has discussed "options for achieving real peace" during a meeting with US Secretary of the Army Daniel Driscoll.

Details: Zelenskyy wrote that he and Driscoll discussed "options for achieving real peace, the sequencing of our work and formats for dialogue, as well as new impulses for diplomacy".
Quote: "Our teams – of Ukraine and the United States – will work on the provisions of the plan to end the war. We are ready for constructive, honest and swift work."
Details: The president also said he informed the US representatives about Russia's Kh-101 missile strike on a high-rise building in Ternopil which killed 27 people, including 3 children.
"The Kh-101 missile that the Russian army used yesterday to hit an ordinary residential building was manufactured in 2025. It contains 175 foreign components that are still reaching Russia in circumvention of sanctions. We count on the support of the United States in restricting all such schemes. I provided Secretary Driscoll with specific data about the companies that manufacture these critical components, their countries of origin, and the components themselves," Zelenskyy wrote.
Background:
- Earlier, media reported that the US-prepared "peace plan" envisions handing the whole of Donbas to Russia. Ukraine would also have to limit its weapons arsenal, halve its army and accept Russian as a second state language.
- According to Axios, Zelenskyy and Driscoll "agreed on an aggressive signing timeline".
- US officials have privately stated that some parts of the US "peace plan" for Ukraine currently discussed in the media are not final and "almost certainly" will be changed.
