Details: Kellogg is convinced that Trump will end the war, which he described as "the longest war in Europe since World War Two".

Quote: "He [Trump] has brought [the war] to a place where, in the military, we always say the last 10 metres to an objective are the hardest to get to. We are in about the last two metres. We are almost there."

Details: Kellogg stressed that the US must add supporting documents which will serve as security guarantees.

He said he recently held talks with the Ukrainian side and that the Ukrainians "really trust the Americans".

Background: In the same interview, Kellogg emphasised that the framework agreement is not final but is realistic for signing by Ukraine and Russia.
