Korabel, which remains one of Kherson's most hazardous residential districts, now has just 200 residents left, all without power or gas.

Quote from Prokudin: "Korabel is one of Kherson's most dangerous residential districts. Explosions are heard constantly, and enemy drones hover overhead. Yet despite the risks, around 200 people still live in Korabel.

Together with Yaroslav Shanko, Head of Kherson City Military Administration, we have met with residents to have an open conversation about the situation."

Details: Prokudin said residents are primarily worried about having their power supply restored, which remains a challenging task amid continuous Russian attacks.

Quote from Prokudin: "We explained honestly: the main obstacle to repairing the severely damaged equipment is the constant attacks. Sending specialised personnel and machinery there would mean putting them directly under fire.

We spoke with residents about possible ways to restore power. It is a challenging task, but we will do everything in our power. Meanwhile, understanding and support from those who remain in the district are essential."

Details: Prokudin also said the situation is being made worse by the approach of winter, as Korabel has been left without a gas supply. Persistent Russian attacks make repairs impossible at present.

Quote from Prokudin: "So we have discussed the delivery of fuel, generators and everything necessary to help people get through the winter.

We have also talked about humanitarian aid, medicines, extending hours when water supply is available and other requests raised by the residents."

Previously: On the evening of 26 November, the Russians used a drone to attack a car in Kherson, killing a woman and a six-year-old child.

Background: It was previously reported that up to 10% of local residents remain in the Korabel residential area of Kherson, refusing to leave. More personnel are needed to support the population than currently remain there.
