Latvia set to allocate €15m for Drone Capability Coalition in 2026

Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has revealed the number of drones supplied by Latvia this year under the Drone Capability Coalition, while his Latvian counterpart Baiba Braže announced that her country is set to allocate funds to support this initiative in 2026.

Details: Sybiha disclosed that Latvia has supplied Ukraine with 12,000 unmanned aerial vehicles under the Drone Capability Coalition since the beginning of 2025.

"We have discussed increasing production and deliveries for 2026," he noted.

Braže, in turn, announced that Latvia will allocate additional funding to support the drone coalition.

"Next year, we will allocate €15 million to ensure sufficient capability as well as to make sure that the latest scientific and innovative research is implemented on the battlefield and enables Ukraine to defend itself," she stressed.

Braže also noted that Latvia has allocated an additional €5 million to provide other capabilities and extra resources for the rehabilitation of Ukrainian service members in the country.

It should be noted that the member countries of the coalition are Australia, Canada, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia (co-coordinator), Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Ukraine and the United Kingdom (co-coordinator).
