Background:
- On the night of 21-22 November, the Russians attacked the Orlivka border crossing point in Odesa Oblast on the border with Romania.
- Ukraine's State Border Guard Service said that reconstructing the Orlivka crossing point after the strike could take several weeks.
- The Orlivka–Isaccea ferry link on the Ukrainian–Romanian border was launched in September 2020. It provides a direct route from the south of Odesa Oblast to the European Union and shortens the journey by up to 200 km.
- It was also reported earlier that on the night of 16-17 November, Russian forces struck a Turkish-flagged tanker unloading liquefied gas at the port of Izmail.
