Russia will intensify attacks on Ukrainian ports and vessels entering them, Putin said. This announcement comes after recent drone strikes on Russian tankers in the Black Sea.

"The most radical method is to cut Ukraine off from the sea," he added.
Putin also threatened to target tankers from countries assisting Ukraine if the attacks continue.
Background:
- On 28 November, two sanctioned tankers – Kairos and Virat – caught fire off the coast of Türkiye as a result of external strikes.
- The two tankers, which belonged to Russia's shadow fleet, were blown up in a special operation by the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU).
- Later, explosions damaged the Mersin, an oil tanker linked to Russia, off the coast of Senegal in West Africa.
- On 2 December, the tanker Midvolga-2, en route from Russia to Georgia, was attacked in the Black Sea about 80 miles (approximately 130 km) from the Turkish coast.
