Russian combined attack on Ukraine: air defence downs 4 Russian ballistic missiles and 175 UAVs
Russian forces carried out a combined strike on Ukraine's critical infrastructure using loitering munitions and missiles launched from air and ground platforms on the night of 6-7 December.

Details: The Air Force's air surveillance troops detected and tracked a total of 246 aerial assets – 5 ballistic missiles and 241 UAVs of various types. These included:
- 241 loitering munitions, including Shahed and Gerbera and other types; about 150 of them were Shahed drones
- 3 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal air-launched missiles
- 2 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles
As of 09:00, air defence forces had shot down or jammed 179 aerial assets:
- 175 loitering munitions, including Shahed and Gerbera and other types
- 2 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal air-launched missiles
- 2 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles
A total of 65 attack UAVs hit 14 locations.
Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces were involved in repelling the attack.
The attack is ongoing; several Russian UAVs are still present in Ukraine's airspace.
