Kharkiv mayor receives order from Zelenskyy for efforts to ensure city's resilience

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has honoured Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov with the Order for Courage, Second Class.

Details: Zelenskyy signed a decree awarding state decorations to heads and staff of local authorities on Ukraine's Local Self-Government Day, 7 December.
Quote: "Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov has been honoured with the Order for Courage, Second Class.
He makes regular visits to the sites of Russian strikes. Despite attacks on energy facilities, preparations have been made in the city for getting through this winter's heating season. Ihor Terekhov has ensured Kharkiv's resilience thanks to people's unity, the effective cooperation of the local authorities with Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration and the government, as well as international support, which is important for post-war recovery."
More details: Terekhov is the only head of a large city in this decree.
