Russia attacks Ukraine with 110 UAVs: air defence downs 84 drones, but hits recorded at 9 locations

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 110 Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones on the night of 8-9 December. Around 70 of the UAVs were Shaheds.

Details: Early reports indicated that as of 09:00, Ukrainian air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 84 Russian Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones in the country's north, south and east.

Hits by 24 UAVs were recorded at 9 locations.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces were involved in repelling the attack.

The attack is ongoing, with several Russian drones still in the airspace. Please observe safety measures!
