US President Donald Trump believes that Ukraine should hold a presidential election, as a long time has passed since the previous vote.

- In February, during remarks to journalists at Mar-a-Lago, Trump said he supported Russia's demands for Ukraine to hold a presidential election.
- The US president also said that he was uncomfortable saying it, but the approval rating of the Ukrainian leader had supposedly fallen to 4%.
