Merz, Starmer and Macron discuss paths to peace in Ukraine with Trump

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron held a phone call with US President Donald Trump on Wednesday 10 December to discuss ways to achieve peace in Ukraine.

"The four heads of state and government discussed the state of talks on a ceasefire in Ukraine. Intensive work on the peace plan is to continue in the coming days," the spokesman added.
Cornelius said the leaders agreed that this is "a decisive moment for Ukraine and for common security in the Euro-Atlantic area".

- Earlier on Wednesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced new talks and meetings with partners this week, which may bring news regarding an end to the war.
