Russian attack kills woman in Sumy Oblast – police

Twenty-five settlements in Sumy Oblast came under fire from Russian forces over the past day, as a result of which one woman was killed.

Details: Police said that the 80-year-old woman was killed in a Russian attack in the Seredyna-Buda hromada, where two houses were also damaged. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

An apartment building was damaged in the Sumy hromada.

Premises belonging to a business were damaged in the Vorozhba hromada.

A house was damaged in the Richky hromada.

Background: On the evening of 13 December, a Russian drone struck an apartment building in the city of Sumy, damaging more than 100 windows. Early reports indicated that no people had been injured.
