Drones attack Moscow, explosions reported

Drones attacked the city of Moscow on the night of 14-15 December, with explosions reported. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin has claimed that Russian air defences downed 15 drones.

Details: Explosions were reported in the Istra district of Moscow. In addition, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports temporarily suspended operations due to the drone attack, though these restrictions were later lifted.
"Emergency services are working at the scene where [weapons] debris fell," Sobyanin wrote.
The attack on Moscow has been ongoing since the evening of 14 December. Earlier, residents of the town of Kashira in Moscow Oblast reported hearing explosions and air defence response.
Updated: The Russian Defence Ministry claimed on the morning of 15 December that 130 drones had been downed, including 25 over Moscow Oblast.
