Power restored to majority of Odesa Oblast residents after Russian attacks

Most consumers in Odesa Oblast who were cut off from power due to large-scale Russian missile and drone attacks have had their electricity restored.

Details: Ukrenergo noted that emergency repair work is ongoing in all regions affected by Russian attacks.

Background:

• On the night of 12-13 December, Odesa was subjected to a large-scale combined attack by the Russians, and local residents reported power cuts in most of the city.
• Russian forces attacked Odesa Oblast throughout the night of 13-14 December using a wide array of airborne weapons.
• As of 16 December, energy workers had managed to restore electricity to almost 330,000 consumers.
