Ukraine's capitulation poses direct threat to Poland's independence, Polish PM says

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has warned that Ukraine's downfall as a result of a lack of European support would pose a direct threat to Poland's independence.

Details: Speaking to journalists, Tusk said that using frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine is the best option.

Quote: "In today's situation, supporting Ukraine – that is, in fact, protecting Ukraine from the need to capitulate – is also an attempt to prevent Russia from gaining a strategic advantage over us.

In short, Poland's independence will be under threat if it turns out that Ukraine is forced to capitulate as a result of wrong decisions or a lack of decisions, for example, by Europe."

More details: Tusk also said that "Ukraine's independence pushes the risk of aggression or war away from Poland's borders, and Ukraine's downfall as a result of this war would mean a direct threat to Poland".
