President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Poland on Thursday evening for an official visit.

Details: Zelenskyy was met on arrival in Warsaw by representatives of the Polish side and Ukraine's ambassador to Poland, Vasyl Bodnar.

As part of the visit, the Ukrainian leader will, among other things, hold his first bilateral meeting with the new Polish President Karol Nawrocki.

Background:

Earlier, officials in Warsaw confirmed that the Polish side had proposed that the presidents meet on 19 December.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk suggested that he might stay longer at the summit of EU leaders and be late for the meeting with the president of Ukraine, which is to take place in Warsaw on Friday.
