Russians attack Odesa again, injuring one and leaving city partially without power, heat and water

Russian forces once again attacked the city of Odesa on the night of 18-19 December, injuring one person and leaving part of the city temporarily without water, heating and electricity.

Quote: "As of now, we have information about one injured woman in a moderate condition. She has been taken to hospital, where she is receiving all the necessary medical care."

Details: Military Administration reported that energy infrastructure and residential buildings had also been damaged.

Quote: "As a result of yet another Russian attack, a critical infrastructure facility has been damaged. The blast wave has also damaged homes of the residents. Part of one of the densely populated districts of the city has temporarily been left without electricity, water and heating."

More details: Lysak said that all the necessary municipal services had been working at the scene. The extent of damage to housing is being assessed, and information is being collected to provide further assistance to residents.

Background:

• Earlier in the evening of 18 December, Serhii Lysak reported another Russian strike on civilian infrastructure in Odesa. As Odesa Oblast Military Administration Head Oleh Kiper then specified, a Russian attack drone hit the balcony of the 22 floor of one of the high-rise buildings in a residential complex. Another drone damaged the façade and a flat on the 15th floor of a neighbouring building, smashing windows and damaging property.
• On the evening of 12 December, Russian forces attacked Odesa and Odesa Oblast with ballistic missiles and drones.
• On the night of 12-13 December, Russia carried out a large-scale combined attack on Odesa using attack drones and missiles. The authorities reported damage to civilian facilities and to energy and industrial infrastructure.
• On 17 December it emerged that the emergency caused by the large-scale Russian attack on energy infrastructure in Odesa Oblast had been classified as a state-level emergency.
