Russia attacks Ukraine with 160 drones overnight: 108 downed, strikes recorded at 23 locations

On the night of 18-19 December, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 160 strike UAVs, including Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones. Around 90 of them were Shahed attack drones.

Details: Early reports indicate that as of 08:00, Ukraine's air defence forces shot down or jammed 108 Russian UAVs – including Shahed and Gerbera drones, as well as drones of other types – in Ukraine's south and east.

Strikes by 47 UAVs were recorded at 23 locations.

The air attack was repelled by Ukrainian aircraft, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups of the defence forces.

The attack is ongoing, with several Russian UAVs still in Ukrainian airspace.
