New round of consultations with US side and Kyiv's partners set to begin, Ukraine's chief negotiator says

Rustem Umierov, Secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defence Council, has announced that he and Andrii Hnatov, Chief of Ukraine's General Staff, are beginning another round of consultations with the American side on 19 December.

Details: Umierov said that Ukraine's European partners have also joined this format at the invitation of the US side.
Quote from Umierov: "We thank the United States for the coordination that allows us to maintain a shared vision and coordinately move forward. We are committed to a constructive process. We have already held preliminary consultations with our European colleagues and are preparing for further discussions with the American side."
Details: Umierov added that he will report to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy following the consultations.
"We are acting clearly in line with the priorities defined by the President: Ukraine's security must be guaranteed reliably and in the long term," he concluded.

- Politico reported earlier that Kremlin envoy Kirill Dmitriev is set to visit Miami on 20-21 December for talks with US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner regarding the US "peace plan".
