Details: Montenegro said that Portugal adheres to the common EU position regarding the issue of deploying troops in Ukraine: "We do not want to be here during the war, but Portugal is part of the Coalition of the Willing and will take part in peacekeeping operations."
Quote: "In the context of a peacekeeping mission and NATO security guarantees, the Portuguese military could deploy its forces on Ukrainian territory. For example, together with Latvia and Lithuania, it could participate in peacekeeping missions and contribute to ensuring security.
Portugal will always support and take part in security missions. This is not envisaged today, but when this issue is considered, Portugal will be able to take part in it."
