Police senior lieutenant and her husband killed in Russian attack on Izium
Patrol police officer Iryna Baida and her husband have been killed as a result of a Russian guided aerial bomb strike on the city of Izium in Kharkiv Oblast. Iryna held the rank of senior police lieutenant and served in the Kramatorsk and Sloviansk battalion.

Details: At the time of the attack, Iryna and her husband were at home, where they were killed. The couple is survived by their 15-year-old son.
Quote: "We lost one of the best patrol officers in Kramatorsk and Sloviansk. Dedicated, diligent and loyal to the Oath to the Ukrainian people, she was always where her help was needed.
The death of our colleague is an irreparable loss for her family, the team and the entire police community. This is yet another proof of the criminal actions of the aggressor state, which deliberately targets civilians and residential areas."

- On the afternoon of 20 December, Russian forces carried out a guided aerial bomb strike on the city of Izium. One of the strikes hit the grounds of a house, with nearby houses also damaged. Earlier it was reported that a man and a woman had been killed in the attack; their bodies were recovered from under the rubble. Another person was injured.
