Ukraine has been developing new domestically produced weapons for its Armed Forces, including towed 155mm and 105mm guns, a multifunctional missile system and a radar station.

Details: The Rocket Forces are set to receive the 155mm Marta towed gun with a 39-calibre barrel. Zhuravlov also spoke of another gun in development, a 105mm system. Both are currently undergoing testing.

Ukraine's defence industry is also upgrading three missile weapons systems: the Sapsan operational-tactical missile system, the Vilkha ("Alder") multiple launch rocket system and the Neptune system with a long-range missile.

Quote: "Another interesting project, namely a multifunctional missile system, is at the development stage. The idea is to have a single universal platform for launching different strike assets, such as GMLRS rockets for HIMARS and missiles of various purposes."

More details: Zhuravlov said that Ukraine is developing a domestic analogue of the US AN/TPQ-36 radar, which tracks enemy artillery launches and missile launches, as well as two types of UAV: a target illuminator for guiding munitions and a reconnaissance drone designed to operate in poor weather.

Zhuravlov also said that the Rocket Forces are also working to improve the Kropyva-D ("Nettle") information and communications system. It is intended to transmit data from reconnaissance, radar and other artillery assets so the artillery can receive target coordinates "within minutes". The aim is to reduce the time from detection to striking a target to two minutes.
