Details: Repair crews from regional energy companies (oblenergos) are working to bring damaged equipment back into operation.
Electricity consumption remains high. Today, 24 December, as of 08:00, its level was the same as it was at this time on Tuesday, the previous working day.
Yesterday, 23 December, the daily peak consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 2.4% lower than the peak of the previous day, Monday 22 December. The reason for the change was the use of more restriction measures as a result of the massive missile and drone attack.
"Where possible, shift energy-intensive processes to after 23:00 and during night-time hours. Careful use of electricity will help reduce the duration of forced outages," the statement reads.
Background: On Wednesday 24 December, scheduled power outages will be applied in most regions of Ukraine.
