Almost 34,500 civilians remain in active combat zone in Donetsk Oblast

Serhii Honcharov, Head of division at the Department for Civil Protection, Mobilisation and Defence Work of Donetsk Oblast State Administration, has reported that 34,482 civilians have remained in the active combat zone in Donetsk Oblast.

Details: Honcharov said that these zones currently include settlements in 21 hromadas, with the Druzhkivka hromada being the most recent addition. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

According to Donetsk Oblast State Administration, more than 1,320,600 people have been evacuated from Donetsk Oblast to Ukrainian government-controlled settlements since February 2022, including more than 202,000 children and about 47,300 disabled people.

Honcharov said that 193,698 civilians remain in Ukrainian government-controlled territories of Donetsk Oblast.
