Trump: Zelenskyy has nothing until I approve it

US President Donald Trump has expressed hope for a productive meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sunday 28 December but remained sceptical about the Ukrainian leader's previously outlined proposals for a "peace agreement."

Details: In his conversation with Politico, Trump appeared indifferent to Zelenskyy's latest proposal and is not rushing to approve the Ukrainian president's plan.

"He doesn't have anything until I approve it. So we'll see what he's got," he said.

Meanwhile, Trump expressed hope that the meeting could be productive.
