Ukraine's air defence downs 21 drones, two locations hit

Russian forces launched an attack using 25 Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones on the night of 28-29 December. Around 15 of the UAVs were Shaheds.

Details: Early reports indicated that as of 08:30, air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 21 Russian Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones in the country's north, south and east.

Hits by four UAVs have been recorded at two locations.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces were involved in repelling the attack.

The attack is ongoing, with several Russian drones still present in Ukrainian airspace.
