Scheduled outages are impossible in some parts of Ukraine due to severe damage to energy facilities after Russian attacks

It is currently impossible to return Kyiv's left bank and a number of districts in Kyiv Oblast and Odesa Oblast to hourly outage schedules due to the scale of damage to energy facilities after Russian attacks.

Details: Yukhymchuk stressed that some energy facilities have been hit repeatedly.
"Each repair work requires significant time and resources, as the level of damage varies by region. This is precisely why, given the scale of destruction, it is currently impossible to return to hourly outage schedules on Kyiv's left bank, in a number of districts of Kyiv Oblast and in Odesa Oblast," Yukhymchuk said.
She emphasised that energy workers have been continuously working on repairs of damaged facilities since the start of large-scale missile-and-drone strikes on the power system.
"All energy facilities destroyed or damaged by the Russians will be repaired," Yukhymchuk assured.
Background: The Russians struck energy facilities in frontline and border oblasts. As of the morning of 30 December, a significant number of consumers had been left without power in Chernihiv Oblast.
