Around 150 combat clashes recorded on front line over past day – Ukraine's General Staff
Ukraine's defence forces have been holding back Russian troops along the entire front line, repelling a total of 149 enemy assaults over the past day, with the hottest situation remaining on the Pokrovsk front where 35 combat engagements were recorded.

Quote: "Yesterday [30 December – ed.] the enemy carried out 3 missile strikes and 58 air strikes, using 3 missiles and dropping 165 guided aerial bombs; they conducted 3,495 attacks, including 62 from multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRSs), and carried out 5,791 strikes using kamikaze drones."
Details: On the North Slobozhanshchyna front and in the operational zone Russia's Kursk Oblast, Russians carried out three air strikes over the past day, dropping eight guided aerial bombs, and conducted 68 attacks, including two from MLRSs.
On the South Slobozhanshchyna front, Russian forces attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders eight times near six settlements.
On the Kupiansk front, there were four combat engagements near three settlements.
On the Lyman front, Russian forces attacked 10 times near seven settlements.
On the Sloviansk front, Ukraine's defence forces repelled three offensive actions by Russian forces near two settlements
On the Kostiantynivka front, Russian forces carried out 18 attacks in the areas of eight settlements.
On the Pokrovsk front, Ukrainian defenders repelled 35 assault actions by Russian forces in the areas of 12 settlements.
On the Oleksandrivka front, Russian forces attacked 12 times near nine settlements.
On the Huliaipole front, Ukrainian defenders repelled 24 attempts by Russian forces to advance in the areas of four settlements.
On the Prydniprovske front, there were two unsuccessful attempts by Russian forces to move closer to the positions of Ukrainian units.
The General Staff added that, over the past day, aircraft and artillery from Ukraine's defence forces struck four areas where personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated, two command posts, one artillery system, one storage point and one UAV command post.
