Energy workers report significant power outages following overnight Russian attack

Ukraine faces significant power outages in several regions as a result of Russian drone attacks on energy facilities on the night of 30-31 December and the morning of 31 December.

Quote from Ukrenergo: "As a result, as of this morning there are more power outages in Donetsk, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv oblasts. In Donetsk and Odesa oblasts, the extent of the outages is significant."
Details: Ukrenergo added that repair work is being carried out wherever the security situation allows and reiterated that due to the Russian attacks, electricity consumption restrictions apply in most regions of Ukraine.
"Please limit your use of energy-intensive electrical appliances as much as possible. If possible, move energy-intensive activities to night-time hours – after 23:00," the company added.
Background: Russian forces have once again attacked energy infrastructure in Odesa Oblast, with two energy facilities belonging to DTEK, Ukraine's largest private energy company, coming under fire on the night of 30-31 December.
