Details: The Corps says that the Russians have increased pressure in the Pokrovsk agglomeration since the start of the new year. Unable to break through Ukrainian defences with frontal attacks in the area of responsibility of the 7th Corps, Russian forces are trying to move around by alternative routes, particularly attempting to bypass the agglomeration via Hryshyne and the city of Rodynske.

For the past two days, the Russians have carried out relentless assault actions near Hryshyne, using infantry and light vehicles. The assaults are mostly conducted at night to minimise losses.

Ukrainian units are holding back the Russian forces on the approaches to Hryshyne. Over the past two days, Ukraine's defence forces have killed more than 30 Russian soldiers and hit up to 10 pieces of light equipment, specifically motorcycles and ATVs.

The 7th Corps also reported attempts by the Russians to operate in small groups of six to eight people, moving north of Pokrovsk. Ukrainian forces detect these movements in time and strike the Russian troops using available assets and personnel.

In the Myrnohrad area, the situation remains challenging. Units from the 7th Rapid Response Corps are working with the Chervona Kalyna unit, Ukraine's 14th Operational Brigade of the National Guard, to secure the northern part of the city, contain Russian forces in the centre and prevent them from bringing in equipment from the south.

On the eastern outskirts of Myrnohrad, the Russians are trying to dig in, but defence forces are controlling the situation.

Quote: "The 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces continues to hold designated lines and wipe out the enemy during attempts to break through or bypass.

The defence of the Pokrovsk agglomeration is being carried out by units from the Air Assault Forces grouping, assault units, the Ground Forces, the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Navy, the Special Operations Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Guard and the National Police of Ukraine."
