President Donald Trump's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff has said that work on security guarantees has largely been completed, following a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing in Paris.

Details: Witkoff said that he looked forward to "more progress as a result of everything that's occurred today".

Quote: "We think we're largely finished with security protocols, which are important so that the people of Ukraine know that when this ends, it ends forever.

But we also think critically that we are very, very close to finishing up as robust a prosperity agreement as any country has ever seen coming out of conflicts like this. It will aspirationally mean large possibilities for the Ukrainian people [...]."

"We believe that a robust economy correlates and works directly with these security protocols."

More details: However, Witkoff acknowledged that the "land" issue remains unresolved and said talks on it will continue.

Quote: "Hopefully we'll be able to come up with some compromises with regard to that. But I do want to say this. We are here to mediate and help in the peace process and we're prepared to do anything necessary to get to that place."
