Quote: "Good progress made today in Paris, when we in the Coalition of the Willing, Ukraine and the United States met to discuss peace in Ukraine.
When a peace agreement is reached in Ukraine, Sweden stands ready to contribute to the security guarantees for Ukraine and the rest of Europe."
Details: Kristersson outlined specific areas of assistance aimed at securing peace, particularly the provision of Gripen fighter jets for air surveillance over Ukraine, the supply of naval assets for clearing the Black Sea of mines and continued training for Ukrainian officers.
He stressed that the implementation of these plans would be possible only if certain conditions were met. These include the conclusion of a peace agreement itself, the establishment of clear rules governing the use of multinational forces and formal approval of the decisions by the Swedish parliament.
"Sweden is prepared to do our part for peace in Europe," Kristersson summed up.
