The Ukrainian military also urged people to rely only on official reports and to follow reliable information hygiene practices.

Background:

  • DeepState, a Ukrainian group of military analysts, reported in late December that the Russians had occupied three settlements in the Bakhmut district of Donetsk Oblast and had advanced near Andriivka and in Myrnohrad.
  • The analysts updated their data on 7 January, claiming that the Russians had occupied Andriivka in Sumy Oblast.
