Resignation letters from Ukraine's defence minister and first deputy PM submitted to parliament

Ruslan Stefanchuk, Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament), has announced that the Verkhovna Rada has received resignation letters from Ukraine's Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal and Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation.

Details: Stefanchuk said the Verkhovna Rada will soon review the resignation letters in accordance with the established procedure.

He posted the resignation letters received from Shmyhal and Fedorov.

Background: The Verkhovna Rada will consider issues related to resignations and appointments during the plenary week of 13-16 January.
