Ukraine hits Russian oil rigs in Caspian Sea – Ukraine's General Staff

Ukraine's defence forces have struck three drilling rigs belonging to the Russian company Lukoil in the Caspian Sea.

Details: The General Staff said the rigs in question are the V. Filanovsky, Yuri Korchagin and Valery Grayfer drilling platforms, which supply fuel to the Russian armed forces.

The General Staff reported the strikes, but did not reveal the extent of the damage.

Ukrainian defenders also hit a Buk-M3 system near the settlement of Baranycheve in Luhansk Oblast and a logistics unit depot belonging to Russia's 49th Army near the settlement of Novotroitske in Kherson Oblast.

Background: Partisans from the Atesh resistance movement said they carried out a sabotage operation in Russia's Moscow Oblast, striking an element of the air defence system.
