Details: DTEK promised to keep consumers updated promptly via their Telegram channel if there are any changes.
Update: Ukraine's Ministry of Energy explained later that the restrictions have been imposed due to a Russian missile and drone attack on energy facilities, severe frost and the effects of adverse weather conditions in Kyiv Oblast.
"Rolling outages announced earlier for Kyiv and the region are currently not in effect. Power engineers are working around the clock to restore a stable power supply as quickly as possible," the ministry said.
The Ministry of Energy said emergency power cuts would be lifted as soon as the power system stabilised and urged consumers to be understanding.
