Details: The Security Service reported that the strikes triggered a series of loud explosions and a fire at the scene.
Atlant Aero is engaged in the full cycle of design, manufacturing, and testing of Molniya strike-reconnaissance UAVs, as well as components for Orion UAVs used by Russian forces.
According to the Security Service, the strike on the plant will reduce UAV production volumes and weaken the Russians' technical capabilities to conduct reconnaissance and strike operations using drones.
Background: On the morning of 13 January, the governor of Russia's Rostov Oblast reported a drone attack on the region. Explosions were heard in Taganrog, and according to Russian Telegram channels, the targets included the Atlant Aero plant, which produces components for combat drones, and the Beriev Aircraft Company.
