The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) said they have uncovered corruption involving the leader of one of the parliamentary factions in the Verkhovna Rada. Ukrainska Pravda sources say the case concerns Yuliia Tymoshenko.

Details: Sources reported that searches are being conducted at the Kyiv office of the Batkivshchyna party on Turivska Street.
Later, NABU reported that together with SAPO it had uncovered a scheme in which the head of a parliamentary faction offered unlawful benefits to several MPs from other factions in exchange for voting "for" or "against" specific draft laws.
The case has been preliminarily classified under Article 369.4 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (offering, promising or giving an unlawful benefit).
Further details are expected to be released later.
Updated: NABU has not officially named the faction leader involved.
However, Ukrainska Pravda sources said it is Yuliia Tymoshenko, the leader of the Batkivshchyna party.
According to these sources, she offered bribes to MPs from other parties.
Background:
- In July 2025, Tymoshenko's party almost unanimously voted in favour of a bill that would have stripped NABU and SAPO of their independence (Bill No. 12414).
- On 31 July, she was also one of the few MPs who did not vote to restore the powers of Ukraine's anti-corruption agencies.
