Satellite images have confirmed damage to the Atlant-Aero plant in Russia's Taganrog following a strike on the night of 12-13 January.

Details: The outlet reported that a satellite photo taken on 14 January – a day after the Ukrainian drone attack on the facility – showed several buildings on the plant's premises had been destroyed. It added that one of the destroyed buildings was relatively new, having been built early last year.
Background:
- On the morning of 13 January, the governor of Russia's Rostov Oblast reported a drone attack on the region. Explosions were heard in the city of Taganrog, and Russian Telegram channels said Atlant Aero, a defence industrial base plant which produces components for drones, and the Beriev Aircraft Company had been hit.
- The Security Service reported that its Alpha Special Operations Centre, together with units of the Ukrainian Navy, struck production facilities at the Atlant Aero plant in Taganrog in Russia's Rostov Oblast on the night of 12-13 January.
- Later, Ukraine's General Staff stated that its forces had struck Atlant Aero using domestically produced missiles.
