Chemical plant and power substation ablaze near Moscow – photos

Smoke has been reported at a chemical plant near Moscow and an electrical substation has caught fire in Serpukhov.

Details: Astra initially reported smoke at a mineral fertiliser plant in the town of Voskresensk in Moscow Oblast.

Later, Astra said that an electricity substation was burning in Serpukhov, also in Moscow Oblast, leaving part of the city and nearby settlements without power.

In both cases, Astra said the causes of the smoke and the fire are "unknown" and that there is no official information so far.
