Russia plans to use up to 1,000 attack drones against Ukraine every day – Ukraine's commander-in-chief

Russia is planning to ramp up production of attack UAVs in order to use up to 1,000 drones against Ukraine every day.
Source: Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in an interview with LB.ua, a Ukrainian news outlet
Quote from Syrskyi: "The enemy plans to significantly increase production in order to use up to 1,000 drones a day. So, of course, we must do everything to derail these plans and inflict losses sufficient to force the enemy to suspend active operations and to create conditions for negotiations, because no one negotiates with the weak".
Details: Syrskyi said Russia currently produces 404 Shahed loitering munitions of various types every day and plans to increase this number.
He also said the Russians plan to form at least 11 divisions in 2026 and "pursue the plans and tasks that were left unfinished last year".
Russia plans to draft 409,000 soldiers, Syrskyi said, adding that it has a mobilisation reserve of more than 20 million, of which 4.5 million are trained and can be deployed to reinforce existing units.
Asked which side currently has the advantage in drones, Syrskyi said: "In terms of the number of drones, it's roughly the same. The question is quality. In conventional drones, the quality is on our side. In fibre-optic drones, unfortunately, we are only catching up with Russia."
